French Work Jacket
Originating in the late 19th century, the French work jacket shares a similar timeline with denim jeans. Worn by railroad workers, engineers, and laborers, it was typically made from durable twill or moleskin. These jackets were warm, resilient, and easy to repair with patches. The iconic three-to-four pocket design made it exceptionally practical for carrying tools and small essentials.
