Sunray Sportswear | A Perefect Tshirt

Sunray Sportswear is the brainchild of British designer couple Colin and Emma, who entrusted production to a Japanese family-run factory with nearly a century of craftsmanship spanning three generations. Every garment is made using antique loopwheel circular knitting machines—an ultra-slow, low-tension process that can only produce 1 mtere of fabric per hour. Each Sunray T-shirt takes up to 1.5 hours from knitting to sewing.

Once sewn, each piece is pigment-dyed by Kyoto-based dye master Mr. Kitada, followed by an intensive eight-hour wash to eliminate shrinkage and lock in the designer’s intended perfect fit. The result is a beautifully structured garment that holds its shape, yet ages gracefully over time with a soft, lived-in patina.

With a rich, skin-friendly texture and weighty hand feel, Sunray is a true reflection of the brand’s philosophy: Quality over Quantity. It’s clothing made to be worn and loved every day—an experience in craftsmanship you can feel over and over again.
