The FEM-G001 is a Japanese-made denim jacket from FAR EAST MANUFACTURING, also known as FEM, a separate label directed by Yoshiyuki Hayashi.

Based on the classic 1970s Levi’s 70505 trucker jacket, the FEM-G001 reworks the familiar design with updated proportions, carefully selected materials, and a fit made for modern wear.

Classic details such as the V-shaped front panel stitching and symmetrical flap chest pockets remain in place, while the overall design has been refined for a cleaner, more streamlined look that suits today’s body types.

The Denim

The jacket is made from the same sanforized and pre-shrunk selvedge denim developed for the RESOLUTE 712 jeans.

The denim goes through a singeing process to remove surface cotton fuzz, giving the fabric a clean and sharp appearance while preserving its raw vintage texture.

It reflects the aesthetic of 1970s vintage pieces, while still feeling easy to style in a more modern wardrobe.

The Fit

Vintage Type 3 jackets are usually quite short and fitted. The FEM-G001 keeps a comfortably fitted shoulder and chest block, while adding slightly more room through the biceps and sleeves.

The longer sleeve length is a nod to vintage workwear, offering easy movement and better arm coverage.
