The Lambert was the first shirt Freenote ever designed, and the brand recently gave it a complete overhaul in both fit and construction.

One of the first updates was the sweat-proof pocket. This pocket was originally designed to hold a pack of cigarettes, with an added fabric barrier to help protect the contents from moisture. Freenote has now updated the pocket opening with the same curved shape used throughout the brand’s pocket structures, giving the shirt a more consistent overall design.

The Lambert is equipped with elbow patches and contrast fabric on the back yoke and sleeve plackets, giving the shirt a more complete and refined finish. This version is made from 12oz indigo denim corduroy from Japan, offering a substantial feel, rich texture, and excellent aging potential with wear.

Details include a collar with chinstrap, 1/8" double needle and triple needle stitching, elbow patch details, thread runoffs on the bottom gusset, and metal reproduction buttons from Japan. The Lambert brings together vintage work shirt construction, premium Japanese fabric, and Freenote’s American-made craftsmanship.
