【Fullcount】S2107SSW WWII Model 11.5oz Super Smooth Denim Jacket
Description
Fullcount WWII Denim Jacket is crafted from the brand’s signature lightweight 11.5oz selvedge denim, offering a comfortable feel while staying true to the character of classic wartime garments. For those who appreciate Japanese denim, vintage workwear, and historically inspired outerwear, this jacket is a refined interpretation of a true classic.
This model incorporates a range of historically inspired details, including newly produced iron donut buttons with a wreath motif, unmarked punch-through rivets, and carefully reproduced front pleat stitching proportions. Together, these elements faithfully capture the distinctive features associated with WWII-era denim jackets.
Unlike many WWII reproductions that intentionally mimic the rough stitching often seen on mass-produced wartime garments, Fullcount takes a different approach. The jacket is sewn with precise and controlled thread tension, resulting in clean construction while creating strong puckering along the seams. The stitching is finished in a subtle yellow-tone gradation, adding depth to the classic indigo fabric and enhancing the visual character that will continue to develop beautifully with wear.
Compared to Fullcount’s standard Type I jacket, the body length of this WWII model is shortened by 1 cm, creating a slightly boxier silhouette that remains true to the proportions commonly associated with vintage wartime pieces.
WWII Jean Jacket / WWII Type
WWII model jackets were redesigned by Levi’s and other manufacturers due to strict U.S. government mandates during World War II to conserve raw materials such as metal, fabric, and thread for the war effort. These changes, implemented mainly from 1942 to 1946, simplified production while allowing civilian clothing output to continue.
WWII reproduction jean jackets, often based on Type I designs, typically use 13–15oz selvedge denim and incorporate wartime simplifications such as four front donut or laurel buttons instead of the usual five, a single chest pocket, a smaller shirt-style collar, and lightweight unlined construction. The overall silhouette is usually short and boxy, reflecting the functional, material-conscious design approach of wartime garments. This balance of historical detail and practical structure is part of what makes WWII denim jackets so enduringly collectible.
