To bring a distinct character that sets it apart from the muted tones of the common autumn/winter lineup, MOMOTARO JEANS selected "shikon", a botanical dye derived from Japanese gromwell root that creates a warm, brown-toned purple. The dyeing process brings out a depth of color and expression unique to plant-based materials.
Shikon is one of Japan’s three great historic dyes, alongside indigo and safflower. Designated as the color of the highest rank in the ancient court ranking system "Kan’i Jūnikai", it has been prized as a precious dye since antiquity.
Momotaro 001 Fit
This single-pocket jacket has the widest fit among the Momotaro jacket lineup, with roomy body width, slightly dropped shoulders, and two hidden side pockets for functionality. It pursues a timeless, comfortable silhouette ideal for layering over bulkier items.
