Midnight Slub Stretch Selvedge
The Midnight Slub Stretch Selvedge is a 12.5oz indigo rope dyed Japanese selvedge denim with an uneven “slubby” surface texture combined with a black weft interior. To achieve the texture, bumpy irregular shaped slub yarns are used in combination with loose slow weaving techniques. The result is an uneven organic grain reminiscent of hand-woven fabric. The black weft will peak though the twill lines on the front face of the fabric giving the denim it’s stealthy midnight look. The black weft will add a layer of contrast making the indigo appear much brighter as it fades. Woven on vintage shuttle looms in Okayama, Japan, the denim contains 2% stretch for improve comfort and reduce break in time. Cut, sewn, built in Canada with tonal stitching, classic redline selvedge ID, black suede patch, and black mil spec non reflective buttons and rivets.
