Created by Oishi-san, this heavyweight oxford cloth blurs the line between rugged workwear and refined urban style. The fabric features a beige-tinted brown tone that shifts under different lighting—sometimes reading as brown, other times with hints of green/khaki—offering a rich, chameleon-like color profile. Oishi-san spent considerable effort fine-tuning this hue, and the result is a shade that feels both contemporary and steeped in heritage.

Dyeing

Rather than opting for the more common method of post-weave sulfur dyeing, this fabric is made the old-school way—by dyeing each yarn before weaving. Though this method is more labor-intensive and costly, it yields a far deeper and more complex coloration. Over time, as the fabric wears and softens, it fades from a golden yellow to a soft vintage khaki, revealing layers of character with every wash and wear.

Oxford Weave

This oxford stands apart not just in tone but also in texture and weight. Woven in a 2x2 basket weave at a rare and hefty 14oz, it’s far denser and more tactile than traditional shirting fabrics. So demanding is this construction that Oni had to move beyond their usual selvedge looms, turning instead to specially calibrated machines built to handle the thick, twinned yarns. The result is an oxford like no other—visually compelling, technically impressive, and made to last.

Fit

Though it looks and fit like other ONI Type ll in the same size.

The sleeve can fit slightly slimmer than a denim jacket because of the thickness and lack of stretchness of this heavy oxfrod.

If you'd like to layer more, make sure to go at least 1 size up.
