【Shangri-La Heritage】"Safari" Jungle Ventile® Eco Recycled Hat
Shangri-La Heritage interprets outdoor adventure hats in an Italian style, with both classic appearance and powerful functionality.
Ventile ® is one of the earliest waterproof fabrics. Before the advent of GORE-TEX, it was widely used in the survival suits of the British Royal Air Force. It may be unimaginable to make waterproof fabrics made of 100% cotton. The principle lies in its unique high density The weaving method, in addition to effectively blocking the penetration of moisture, also has the characteristics of breathability and comfort.
Inspired by the traditional Safari Hats and revisited with a unique Italian touch, the “Safari” Jungle Ventile ® Eco Recycled Hat is made of 100% Cotton Ventile® Eco Recycled, the Highest Performance Cotton since 1943.
Against strong Sun and heavy Rain, on Safari and all Outdoor destinations, the “Safari” Forest Green Ventile® Eco Recycled Hat is a Travel essential.
The Ventile® Eco Recycled is the first High-Performance Fabric made entirely from Recycled Cotton. This pioneering, award-winning fabric has been designed to achieve the best balance of performance, comfort, and sustainability.
Using technological advances, Ventile® Eco Recycled draws inspiration from Ventile's unsurpassed performance characteristics. The all-weather fabric is constructed so that it breathes naturally and far more effectively than other all-weather fabrics. The result is a high-performance as fab reliable as it is sustainable.
Ventile® was created to save the lives of Air Force personnel flying over the Atlantic in wartime England. Pilots needed a garment that was cool and comfortable in the cockpit, but warm and impenetrable if it came into contact with water. With nothing that offered this functionality on the market, a team of dedicated scientists pioneered a radical solution at the Shirley Institute in Manchester and, after several months of testing, Ventile® was born.
The unique weatherproof qualities of the fabric ensured that it was also widely championed by outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers alike. Ventile® was used in the first summit of Everest in 1953 and by Sir Ranulph Fiennes when he crossed the Arctic from 1979 – 1982.
