Crafted by a traditional specialist in the historic knitwear town of Hawick in the Scottish borders. Made with Scottish spun cashmere, this jumper is as comfortable as it is refined. The cashmere is ethically sourced from nomadic herding communities by one of Scotland's oldest spinners, Todd and Duncan.
The World’s Finest Cashmere, Perfected in Britain
Sunspel has been perfecting the craft of cashmere for over 150 years, drawing on British expertise to refine every aspect of their knits. Sourced from nomadic Mongolian herders, Sunspel selects the finest Grade A, white cashmere hairs. These are spun on the banks of Loch Leven by one of Scotland’s oldest spinners. The yarn is washed in naturally soft spring water, opening the fibres and leaving a beautifully smooth, light finish. The final garment is knitted by specialists nearby in Hawick, the historic heart of the British cashmere industry, resulting in a timeless piece of knitwear that’s unrivalled for pure comfort.
Sunspel uses a very fine 15.5 micron cashmere (often regarded as Grade A cashmere) sourced from nomadic farmers who practise sustainable herding and grazing.
