TANUKI
【TANUKI】TNK403ID IDxID Double Indigo 15oz Selvedge Type 3 Jacket
The Tanuki Indigo x Indigo ID jeans are made from a distinctive 15-ounce selvedge denim fabric crafted from 100% Texas cotton. This fabric is unique because both the warp and weft yarns are dyed in a pure indigo dye bath, creating an intense and rich blue hue that sets it apart from standard denim where only the warp is typically dyed. The denim has a slubby texture with irregular thickness in both the warp and weft yarns, which evokes the look and feel of hand-spun denim and results in a distinct surface and beautiful fading over time. Being one of Tanuki's fastest-fading fabric, this is guaranteed to be a fun denim to fade.
The use of Texas Cotton
Texas cotton provides rugged durability while remaining comfortable after being worn. The rough twill yarn adds a lot of irregularity to this fabric. After the rough knots on the surface are worn out. The fabric will develop a snowflake-like fading pattern, providing an uncommon fades expression.
Extreme Low Tension
Fabrics in Tanuki's denim collection are crafted using a technique that is known, yet hasn't been employed in over 30 years. The result is a denim with a unique hand feel and wearing experience that is unmatched by others. One of the most noticeable features is its air-ventilating quality when exposed to wind. The air flows easily through the fabric to reach your skin. This gives all Tanuki denim a lighter feel than the specified weight (oz).
Tanuki Type 3 Jacket Fit
Tanuki’s Type 3 denim jacket is a modern reinterpretation of the classic Levi’s Type III Trucker silhouette, incorporating thoughtful updates in fit and detail while respecting vintage style.
Tanuki’s Type 3 jackets have a slightly elongated body and a more tailored, slim appearance compared to the boxier originals. While the overall lines are slim, the fit is reviewed as a modern or athletic cut—offering enough room in key areas (chest, waist, arms) for comfort and practical movement. Unlike traditional updated Type 3s, the Tanuki Type 3 jacket adds subtle welted hand-warmer side pockets. If you don’t look carefully, you might not even notice that it’s there.
"This pair of jeans is not only a treat for the eyes but also offers leg-endary comfort that only gets better with time."
