VASCO
【VASCO】Leather Wander Shoulder Bag Brown
Description
Inspired by the classic silhouette of European vintage shoulder bags, vasco created the LEATHER WANDER SHOULDER BAG with modern everyday use in mind. Its clean shape and well-balanced proportions make it easy to carry for daily outings or travel.
The main compartment features a vintage-style UNIVERSAL ZIPPER, adding a nostalgic character while keeping the opening smooth and practical. The adjustable shoulder strap allows the bag to be worn as a crossbody bag or a one-shoulder bag, depending on your outfit and needs.
The interior is lined with durable canvas for added strength. The exterior zipper pocket and inner slip pocket make it easy to organize everyday essentials.
The embossed “B.L.W.” on the bag stands for Baggage Load Wanderlust, meaning the desire to pack your belongings and set out on a journey. True to vasco’s spirit, each bag is made to accompany its owner through daily life and travel, gradually developing marks and character unique to its journey.
Each piece is handmade in Japan and finished using the traditional hill-dyeing process. Because of this hand-dyed method, every bag has its own depth, color variation, and natural character. No two pieces are exactly the same, which is part of the charm of handmade leather goods.

OLD OIL Series
OLD OIL is one of vasco’s most iconic series. It uses full vegetable-tanned leather produced in Himeji, Japan. The leather is tanned entirely with vegetable tannins, then hand-dyed layer by layer using a traditional Italian hill-dyeing technique. The surface is then burnished and oiled, creating a deep, layered texture reminiscent of antique leather goods.
The hill-dyeing technique originated in the Santa Croce region of Italy in the 19th century. Since the dye only penetrates the surface of the leather, the natural base color remains underneath. With long-term use, the leather gradually develops rich color variation, natural luster, and a beautiful patina. Today, artisans who still possess this hand-dyeing skill are becoming increasingly rare, making this process even more special.
The hardware is also treated with an aged finish, including traditionally cast parts and solid brass fittings. Over time, the metal will oxidize naturally together with the leather, creating the distinctive vintage aging character of the OLD OIL series.
