Description
This heavyweight cotton tickweave "canvas" is a fabric Wythe has been wanting to develop for a long time. Part of the beauty of Wythe is being able to bring some of these fabrics back to life that have since been lost to time. It's based on a fabric used from the 1930s through the early 1950s across a couple of different workwear brands. This was during the time when you'd see a lot of denim-alternative-but-still-workwear fabric being introduced. It's a surprisingly soft fabric for how durable it is, but still has the ability to break in with wear.
Wythe made this up in an updated version of the barn jacket, which seemed fitting as a nod to the coveralls and overalls this fabric was originally used on. This version of the barn jacket comes complete with evergreen bartacks and buttonholes, triple needle construction, diamond shanks and aged steer head snaps, and now with modified shirt-like cuffs.
