Loopwheel Machine

Crafted in Japan using antique loopwheel knitting machines, each tee is made without side seams—giving it a clean tubular body and exceptional durability. These rare machines can only weave 1 meter of fabric per hour, and making 1 Sunray T-shirt takes 1.2 meters. By using a loopwheel machine it allows the cotton to be knit slowly and almost without tension, resulting in a super soft, dense, and shape-retaining fabric. After being sewn the T-shirt then goes into industrial laundry to wash for 8 hours to shrink the fabric to its fullest. As these kinds of vintage machine loomed fabric often shrink more than 20% with its first wash.

The 260gsm heavyweight cotton feels not substantial and without being bulky at all, making it perfect for year-round wear.

Ochiwata Cotton

The Ochiwata cotton is a type of recycled cotton. Using cotton fibers collected from the spinning site where there is usually cotton fluff or leftover all over the facility ground. These are 100% new cotton and sustainably used by conscious garment makers.
