These slim-fit, straight-leg jeans are made from organic comfort stretch denim, a stretch version of Nudie's flagship Japanese Kaihara denim, a material very special to Nudie. The original cotton version wowed Nudie fans in 2001 and continues to do so today thanks to its exceptional aging properties. This newly released version is designed to offer the same fading properties, but with a slight stretch, making it even more suitable for pairing with a slim fit.

"Dry Original Selvage" features a dark blue warp and unbleached, antique-inspired light beige yarn. This signature fabric boasts a tight construction, dry feel, and stiff texture. It's incredibly beautiful in its original state, captivating with Nudie's signature orange contrast stitching. Most importantly, this denim ages with a playful quality that transforms with wear, becoming even more captivating with each wear. To understand why, let's delve into the technical details. The warp is first dyed with a dark sulfur dye and then dyed again with indigo blue. This dyeing technique imparts a deep, soft indigo hue that's incredibly beautiful. This is one of the reasons this denim develops captivating details as it ages, resulting in what Nudie calls Green-Dyed Indigo Denim, a denim with a slight greenish-blue hue that becomes more pronounced with wear. After years of wear and a few washes—as the dark denim lightens—the green hue begins to shift to a reddish hue, transforming into a clear, bright blue. This unique transformation is both captivating and bewildering!
