Description

This 15oz “Green Cast Denim” features indigo warp yarns that are repeatedly rope-dyed before receiving a final layer of yellow-toned sulfur dye. This unique dyeing process gives the fabric a deep, rich appearance with a subtle green cast that sets it apart from most selvedge denim. As it fades, shades of jade and blue-green will gradually emerge.

The warp is dyed indigo, while the weft is left unbleached. The use of unbleached weft retains the natural yellowish-brown tone of raw cotton. This gives the fabric an old-school appearance, much like early denim fabrics that were commonly woven without bleached cotton yarns.

From a distance, the fabric looks clean and structured like classic denim. Up close, however, the irregular slub texture becomes much more noticeable, particularly along the vertical direction. This pronounced slubbiness should translate into plenty of visible character as the denim breaks in and fades over time.

At 15oz, the fabric feels substantial without being heavy, making it comfortable enough for year-round wear while remaining extra durable. As the denim develops through wear and tear, its green-blue undertones will gradually come through  resulting in a rich depth and subtle luster that becomes even more impressive with age.

ONI 246 Fit

The ONI 246 jeans feature a neat straight fit, offering a slightly slimmer silhouette compared to a typical regular fit. They have a mid-rise waist and a leg that tapers gently toward the hem, providing a clean and classic look without being overly tight.

How much does ONI stretch in the waist?

ONI jeans will stretch out fairly fast in the waistband, you can expect it to stretch at least 1 inch after first day to 1 week of wear. Most of them will stretch at least 1.5 inch in the waist with about 30 wears.

Go up at least 2 sizes from major US brands. Usually the same or go down 1 size from other Japanese brands.
