Description
ONI 777-BRD “British Drill” reinterprets classic military/workwear drill through ONI's meticulous Japanese craftsmanship. The fabric has a pronounced twill texture with a soft yet substantial hand. As a selvedge pants, the traditional shuttle loom-woven construction offers durable finishing, while the drill weave keeps the overall feel lighter and more breathable than most denim jeans.
The pants are cut in a relaxed, wide silhouette with a slight taper shape. The shape reminds us a little of the British Military trousers from WWII.
British Drill
Drill trousers trace their origins to Britain’s colonial era and overseas garrisons, where they were designed for warmer climates. While combat trousers emphasize utility, drill trousers place greater emphasis on comfort and ease of movement, with a cleaner silhouette and distinctive cut. Khaki drill, often abbreviated to KD, was worn as a combat uniform from 1900 to 1949, primarily in desert and tropical environments.
How Much Does ONI Stretch in the Waist?
ONI jeans will stretch out fairly fast in the waistband. You can expect them to stretch at least 1 inch after the first day to one week of wear. Most pairs will stretch at least 1.5 inches in the waist with about 30 wears.
ONI Jeans General Size Recommendation
Go up at least 1-2 sizes from major US brands. Usually, choose the same size or go down 1 size from other Japanese brands.
