Description

This T-shirt brings together a carefully considered blend of materials and traditional Japanese production methods. The 280 GSM jersey fabric is knitted from recycled cotton collected during the yarn-spinning process, fabric offcuts from Double Heavyweight T-shirts, and premium extra-long staple cotton.

Knitted slowly at low tension, the fabric develops a soft, bouncy handfeel with a rich slubby texture throughout. The entire production process, from knitting to sewing and finishing, is completed in Japan.

The irregular texture of the fabric interacts beautifully with the natural dyeing process. Subtle variations in the yarn absorb the dye at slightly different rates, creating greater depth and character across the surface.

Each garment is hand-dyed in Amami, a group of islands in southern Japan with a centuries-old dyeing tradition. The dye is extracted from the wood of the Sharinbai tree, a plant native to Amami that produces a warm, rosy natural color. Artisans dye each piece by hand using techniques passed down through generations, giving every garment its own unique character.

The Crewneck T-Shirt features a modern athletic fit, a bound ribbed crewneck collar, and Union Special flat-seam construction along the sides.
