The Ranch Jacket is one of our favorite creations. We drew inspiration from vintage Type I and Type II jackets, along with design cues from other pieces in our archive, to create something that feels uniquely our own. Over the years, this jacket has gone through various iterations, fits, and factories—but as a core part of our identity, we’ve now established a consistent version across all fabrications.

This particular Bedford cord is exactly what we were looking for in a workwear staple. It’s woven on vintage selvedge looms by a Japanese mill that specializes in this fabric, replicating the way it was originally produced in the 1940s and 1950s. It is also one of the only fabrics this mill produces.

What makes Bedford cord special is its dual nature: it’s tough and durable on the outside, yet soft and pliable on the inside. Like raw denim, it breaks in over time and molds to the wearer’s body—one of the many reasons it has been a long-standing favorite in workwear garments.
