A family business started with wool

In 1796, founder Thomas Glover first established his woolen textile knitting business. With the successful management of his sons and grandchildren, the factory gradually expanded into a large-scale family business. In the early 20th century, JG Glover & Co Ltd was established. During this period, it not only produced woolen textiles for civilian use, but also produced military clothing for the UK and successfully expanded into overseas markets.

In 1956, the company officially changed its name to "Peregrine Clothing". Despite its long-term stable operation, it encountered market changes in the 1980s. Department stores began to look for cheaper overseas brands to replace them. As a result, Peregrine moved to a small factory and focused on exporting high-quality clothing.
