The ONI 570 is a new classic straight fit from ONI Denim. To us, it’s a modern take on the straight fit, featuring a comfortable, wide thigh that tapers slightly at the knee and continues smoothly to a regular straight leg opening. This silhouette differs from the vintage-style Americana straight fits typically offered by Japanese denim makers. The subtle taper from thigh to calf allows for easier movement, unlike the traditional straight leg shape that can feel fitted in the upper leg and looser in the calf. We find this straight cut carries a European spirit.
  
As Mr. Oishi specializes in denim design, his new creation, "Old Blue," is clearly inspired by vintage denim, mimicking the look of natural indigo-dyed fabric from the past. Since natural indigo contains impurities, it’s often difficult to achieve the dark indigo shade typical of modern denim. To replicate this, the yarns are rope-dyed but with fewer indigo dips. With a pinch of secret amount of sulfide added, the uniquely tinted “Old Blue” is born. Its distinctive blue shade resembles the color of lake water in the glacier mountains.
