The brand's name satirizes contemporary celebrity worship, particularly the Hollywood-fueled surge in sensationalist brands. These jeans, priced from NT$9,000 to over NT$10, are primarily driven by celebrity endorsements, not by the exceptional materials or craftsmanship. For these reasons, Naked and Famous has always refused to fall into the mold of typical fashion brands. Founder Brandon Svarc has forsaken all marketing budgets, including celebrity endorsements, and instead invested entirely in the brand's finest denim. Using renowned Japanese traditional shuttle looms, he develops these unblemished jeans, recognized for their superior quality.
